Learn how to physically get yourself ready to start an exercise program

Exercise can protect you from disease, slim your waistline, and extend your lifespan. But doing it regularly is easier said than done. Work, stress, relationships, and a lack of time can all stand in the way, which is why the vast majority of people don’t exercise nearly enough. As an expert, CG Training wants to help you figure out how you can physically get yourself ready to start an exercise program.

1. Start being more active
Try to get up and move more during the day. Spend less time sitting and more time doing active things such as chores, errands, and walks after meals. This will make sure your body is ready to move during cardio or strength training, and it won’t be a big shock to the system.

2. Plan a routine
Set out days and times in your schedule depending on how important your goals are. You don’t want to start working out before knowing how many days and hours you can devote to an exercise program. Any disruption in your exercise routine and you can lose motivation.

3. Decide where you will work out
Decide if you’re going to join a gym, take classes somewhere or get a personal trainer at the gym, at your place, or at their studio.

4. Be accountable
Tell a friend or tell your family about your decision to get more active for support. If you tell someone, then it is out there, and you are more likely to stick to it. You can also download an app on your phone that will help you track your exercise, calories, activity, water, and many other things.

5. Commit
Make the decision and realize that this is something you will do for the rest of your life for yourself to keep you younger, healthier, and thriving into your old age.
